I had a wonderful time on Inscape Quest Podcast: Horsepower with Heart “Ep.8: Racing Hearts: Exploring Horse Racing”, alongside NBC commentator, author, and former top jockey, Donna Brothers, and our host, Trudi Howley. On this episode of the podcast, we discuss women’s involvement in the sport of thoroughbred horse racing, equine welfare issues within the sport, social media impacts, and more.
Trudi Howley is a board certified, licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma and elite performance here in Denver, Colorado and Wellington, Florida. She is also a lifelong horsewoman who has been breeding and competing in dressage at the highest levels for multiple decades out of Wellington, Florida. With her unique background in both mental health and equestrian sport, her Inscape Quest Podcast: Horsepower with Heart series delves into the horse/human connection in a way that’s filled with information. It’s geared towards broadening both our internal and external perspectives and includes a fascinating roster of guests, all with quite varied backgrounds and yet one overarching passion is shared between them: our beloved horses.
I’ve enjoyed listening to every episode in this series so far, and I must say it was wonderful to be able to be a part of it! The full recording is available via Spotify, below, as an Apple Podcast, or on your preferred platform.
I hope you enjoy listening to it, and if you do, please share it forward!
